Our day-to-day lives are more connected. There is a democratization of online access and use. In this context, it's becoming increasingly important to have a secure, authentic and verifiable digital identity with a user-centric approach and full protection of citizens' personal data.
Our ambition: To provide people with a way to simplify online procedures like opening a bank account, renting a car or signing documents remotely.
To do that, we are collaboratively developing trusted national digital wallets, and testing various use cases to show that these digital wallets can in fact be successfully and securely used throughout Europe.
We believe this will strengthen the bonds across Europe and help people, businesses and governments work better.
