A milestone for Europe’s digital identity ecosystem
Organized by the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs, Pairing Europe’s POTENTIAL marks the final milestone of the Large Scale Pilot project funded by the European Commission. Over two days, participants will share results, lessons learned, and a vision for the road ahead as Europe prepares for the rollout of the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet).
The event is both a conference and an interoperability session. It provides a unique opportunity to test prototype wallets from different countries under near real-life conditions—ensuring future digital identity systems work seamlessly across borders
A rich and forward-looking program
The agenda combines high-level panels, practical workshops, and technical interop tests, highlighting the project’s holistic approach. Key sessions include:
- Presentation of POTENTIAL’s results and key learnings, followed by a debate on the future of digital identity in Europe.
- Discussions on cybersecurity in the EUDI Wallet ecosystem, certification, and the European Business Wallet as a booster for the digital economy.
- Workshops on qualified electronic signatures (QES), digital onboarding, and UX design, showcasing both technical innovations and citizen-centered approaches.
- Interop testing sessions where wallet prototypes from multiple Member States will be put to the test for interoperability, scalability, and trust.
Evening networking events will foster collaboration among policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers shaping Europe’s digital identity landscape.
